Designing and building multi-channel annual giving strategies that turn one-time supporters into a reliable pipeline.
Building shared ownership of the mission across staff, faculty, program teams, and leadership so fundraising isn't siloed.
Auditing systems, data, portfolios, and staffing so your organization is genuinely prepared before the first major ask.
Bespoke cultivation and solicitation plans for the individuals capable of changing what your institution can do.
Full-picture development planning for nonprofits of every size: revenue mix, case for support, and realistic growth roadmaps.
About Me
I have spent the last decade in nonprofit advancement, working across annual giving, board development, donor relations, major gift fundraising, corporate sponsorships, and grant writing. That work has taken me from building a first-time development plan in a unit that never fundraised to shaping the strategies behind transformational gifts — and from supporting small teams with five hundred constituents to large units reaching three hundred thousand.
Along the way I have staffed University leaders including deans, presidents, and executive directors, and managed multiple volunteer, advisory, and governing boards. I have seen the same pattern: organizations do not usually have a fundraising problem, they have a clarity problem. Who believes in this mission, how do we deepen those relationships, and what has to be true internally before we ask for more? Answering those questions honestly is where sustainable revenue starts.
My approach is direct and personable. I believe relationships are built not just with organizations, but with individuals — and that leaders and development staff must be responsive, emotionally intelligent, and accountable to their donors. That means setting clear and realistic expectations, investing in the engagement that counts, and treating every donor as a partner in the mission.
I founded Good Ground Advancement LLC to bring that perspective to nonprofits of every size, partnering closely with executive directors, development staff, and boards who want a durable program rather than a one-time campaign push.

Good ground takes time to find — and time to tend.
